Purpose of the Job
Responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for the Metal/Aluminium business, ensuring timely availability of materials, spares, equipment, and MRO requirements.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- Manage procurement planning and execution as per business requirements.
- Develop and manage vendors for materials, spares, equipment, and MRO items.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Drive cost optimization and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and effective coordination with stores, production, and other functions.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Maintain procurement documentation and MIS.
- Preferred Background:
- Candidates from Aluminium, Metal, Engineering, Heavy Engineering, or Manufacturing industries with strong experience in procurement and vendor management.
