Procurement- Raw Material

Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager – Raw Material Procurement to manage day-to-day procurement activities for raw materials, coordinate with suppliers, ensure timely material availability, and support cost-effective purchasing operations.

Key Role and Responsibilities

• *Handle day-to-day procurement of raw materials as per production and material requirements.
• *Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requirements.
• *Coordinate with existing suppliers for availability, pricing, delivery schedules and order status.
• *Identify and develop new vendors/suppliers for raw materials.
• *Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and support commercial negotiations.
• *Negotiate with suppliers on price, payment terms, delivery timelines and other commercial conditions.
• *Monitor raw material prices and keep track of market trends and price fluctuations.
• *Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with vendors for pending orders.
• *Coordinate with Stores and Quality teams for material receipt and quality-related issues.
• *Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, quantity and documentation.
• *Maintain vendor records, purchase data, quotations, POs and procurement-related documentation.
• *Support cost-saving and alternate sourcing initiatives.
• *Develop alternate suppliers for critical raw materials to minimize supply risks.
• *Coordinate with Finance for vendor-related documentation, invoices and payment issues.
• *Prepare regular procurement MIS and reports related to purchases, pending orders, vendor performance and material availability.
• *Ensure procurement activities are carried out as per company policies and approval processes.
