Purpose of the Job
The Polymer Sales professional will be responsible for driving revenue growth through sales of polymer products such as PE, PP, PET, PVC, or specialty resins. The role involves developing new customers, managing key accounts, expanding market presence, and achieving volume and margin targets across assigned territories or industries.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- • Generate new business opportunities in polymer/resin markets.
- • Develop and manage relationships with converters, processors, traders, OEMs, and end users.
- • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in volume and value.
- • Identify new applications and industries for polymer products.
- • Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- • Track market trends, raw material pricing, and competitor movements.
- • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- • Share customer feedback with product development and production teams.
- Channel Development:
- • Appoint and manage distributors or channel partners where applicable.
- • Expand geographic reach and penetration.
- • Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows, exhibitions, and customer visits.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- • Strong understanding of polymer products and applications.
- • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- • Commercially driven with focus on profitability.
- • Good communication and presentation skills.
- • Ability to travel extensively.
- • Analytical mindset with CRM usage experience.
